If you are a registered Customer, you agree that we may also electronically collect, store, and use the following of your information:- Personal Details: Name and surname, birth date, gender, location (i.e. country, province, and city of residence), identity number or passport number.
- Corporate Details: If you are a legal entity, your full name, registration number, country of, and the Personal Details of all your directors and/or office bearers.
- Contact Details: or-mail address and, if provided by you, your mobile number.
- Transactional Details: information relating to your transactional activity on the website.
- Additional Details: the additional information you may provide voluntarily, which could include demographic information or information related to your favourite website, activities, interests or your participation in competitions, promotions, surveys, and/or additional services.

Your personal, corporate, and contact details will be provided by you during your registration as a customer and thereafter by actively updating or supplementing such details in your Account. You voluntarily provide additional Details, either directly or indirectly, by linking your Account to your other social networking profiles, such as your Facebook profile. We record transaction details as and when you subscribe to services on the website. - The Purposes for which We Collect the Information:
We use the information that registered Customers provide (or that we collect) to operate, maintain, enhance, and provide all of the features of the website and related services, and as may be necessary to comply with any relevant laws. - More Specifically:
- We use your Personal and Corporate Details to greet you when you access your Account, manage, and administer your use of the website, and fulfil our contractual obligations, including verifying your identity when transacting with us.

You can edit your Cold Watch Account Information, including your marketing preferences, at any time. New categories of marketing communications may be added to the Marketing Preferences page from time to time. Users who visit this page can opt out of receiving future marketing communications from these new categories or unsubscribe by following the instructions in the messages they receive. We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Cold Watch service, such as service announcements and administrative messages that are considered part of your Cold Watch account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.
4. Children
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. The Cold Watch website is not designed to attract children under the age of 13, and Cold Watch does not knowingly collect personal information from children on our website.5. How We Protect and Store Personal Information
- We store the personal information of our Customers and Visitors on our servers in South Africa. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files, and authorise access to personal information only for employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities.
- You should not divulge your Account password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited telephone call or email. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE SECRECY OF YOUR UNIQUE PASSWORD AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION AT ALL TIMES.
- If you are a legal entity and not an individual, we will liaise only with your named contact oralternative contact provided by your named contact. You are responsible for letting us know if there are any changes to your named contact.
6. How We Share Personal Information with Others
- We may share the personal information of each of our Visitors and Customers with: Law enforcement, government officials, fraud detection agencies or other third parties when:
- We are compelled to do so by a subpoena, court order or similar legal procedure; or we need to do so to comply with any law.
- We believe in good faith that the disclosure of personal information is necessary to prevent physical harm or financial loss, to report suspected illegal activity, or to investigate violations of our User Agreement.
- Required by our service providers under contract who help with parts of our business operations (fraud prevention, marketing, technology services etc.).
- Also note that if Cold Watch should sell, transfer or close its business or undergo a merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganisation or liquidation, then Cold Watch shall be entitled to transfer, sell or assign any or all information collected via the website (including your personal information) to one or more relevant third parties, but only to be used by them in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
- Cold Watch will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes and only share your personal information with third parties as described in this Policy.
7. How You Can Access or Change Your Personal Information
If you would like to review or change the details that you have supplied us with at any time, you will need to send us the updated information in writing on a company letterhead by emailing us at info @coldwatch.co.za (Working hours: Weekdays 08:00 – 16:30).8. Non-Personal Information
Notwithstanding anything contained in this Policy regarding your information, the following information is not regarded as personal information for purposes of this Policy:- Permanently de-identified information that does not relate and cannot be traced back to you. We may compile, use, share and otherwise process such information as we deem fit.
- Non-personal statistical information collected and compiled by us. We own and retain all rights in such information.
- Information you have provided voluntarily in an open, public environment or forum includes (without limitation) any blog, chat room, albums, community, classifieds or discussion board. Because the information has been disclosed in a public forum, it is no longer confidential and does not constitute personal information subject to protection under this Policy.
9. Education And Training for Employees
- Cold Watch has implemented a company-wide education and training program about security that is required of every Cold Watch employee.
- If Cold Watch learns of a security systems breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using this website or providing personal information to us, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of this site. Cold Watch may post a notice on our website if a security breach occurs. If this happens, you will need a web browser that will enable you to view the Cold Watch website. Cold Watch may also email you at the email address you provided to us in these circumstances. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing.
